Tokenization
Bringing institutional-grade access to film financing
CineNow tokenizes film IP exploitation rights, creating a digital asset backed by a diversified portfolio of film productions. This structure gives investors, from global institutions to accredited individuals, direct, transparent exposure to an asset class that has historically been closed off to all but a small circle of studios, financiers, and private funds.
How it works
CineNow finances a curated, non-exclusive panel of film producers. As each production is completed and its film IP exploitation rights are registered, those rights move through a structured chain of ownership, from the producing entity, up through dedicated holding vehicles, and ultimately into the CineNow structure as collateral for the tokenized offering.
This means each token is backed by real, identifiable film assets, not a speculative claim on a single project, but a security interest across a diversified slate of productions, structured and documented to institutional standards.
- 01Producing Entity
- 02Rights-Holding Vehicle
- 03Security Package
- 04Issuance Vehicle
- 05Tokenholders
In practice, this involves:
-
01
A dedicated rights-holding entity for each participating producer, ensuring clean separation between individual productions
-
02
A formal security package (assignment, pledge, and related instruments) that mortgages each producer's rights upward through the structure
-
03
An issuance vehicle that holds the aggregated, internally assigned rights as the underlying collateral for the token
What backs the token
Tokenholders gain exposure to the film IP exploitation rights across CineNow's funded portfolio, the commercial rights to monetize and distribute a film, rather than the underlying copyright itself. As productions generate revenue through distribution, licensing, and other exploitation channels, that revenue flows back through the structure to tokenholders in accordance with the offering terms.
